Jan. 1st, 2024 08:46 pmWhen I was much younger, I didn't really consider the depth. I didn't realize how much I would have to work to have and keep the places and situations that I truly desire or value.
There are some things (both tangible and not) that, in spite of my greatest desires and best efforts, I know will slip through my hands. Once, I believed most things would simply come to me because I wished hard enough for them to be so. Some wishes and dreams will be broken - but then, that is really the truth in life that everyone shares -- scratching out a garden in the forgiving earth. Knowing others may struggle in similar fashion allows us the opportunity to feel a deeper and more important connection of empathy. This is a gift given to us all.
