Miscalculation: Lament of Lachrymosity

And to tears that will only in my right eye fall
grieve yet to my knowledge and thinking
on the parts that I tried to keep safe in logic

I am an artist's son who once thought
that all I held, I could resolve with science
and had little need for creative endeavor

And that feelings were little more
than a trivial and rather consequential issue
