Just think about it
Mar. 10th, 2024 08:26 pmYou were that kid that I rode bicycles with and played in the culvert where we imagined that the foam which stirred around where the pipe emptied into the stream was free soap for hand washing. Or you were the one in the neighborhood that had the party where I brought my first and only 45 record to play but was too nervous to play spin the bottle - which never happened anyway. Or you were the 16yr old that I drove around one day in my father's car (for 127 miles according to my dad) because I would have just bumbled and fumbled my words, if we had just stopped and talked.
I like to imagine just an hour with each to recount and see how our voices and hearts have changed with the unique and unchanging inflections in how we touch our ever-shrinking world of time.
I don't really want or need to do it as life is divergent. I just like to think about it.
