The action of non-action.

In order to accomplish, sometimes it becomes necessary to let go of trying too hard. There are situations and times when forcing an outcome, does little to effect change.

In the Daoist way, you may better become the rough rock in the middle of a raging stream or the bamboo that bends in a violent wind. Ultimately the rock becomes smooth and the bamboo more supple and much stronger for it.

I want to become more submissive to and loving about many things around me in order to gain a peaceful heart and to know that often the best way to make change happen is to make it in myself first.

I'm happy to read this.

I've learned this past year that I can't be happy with people who reach to grasp without being content. And that I personally need to hold ambition in my mind's eye, but not in my mind's hand. May only make sense to me, but your post resonated.

Heh. Thank you. With the autism diagnosis hanging over me, the past year has involved a lot of trying to understand my brain. I don't think I process feelings the same was as most other people but I think I have the objectivity to get them right in my head if I'm given space to do so? That's kind of how it works for me and I am gratified I can speak some sort of sense out of it :)
