The edges of nearby State Route 800 were de-littered recently by local prison/jail inmates. It seems ironic that these convicted individuals are cleaning up the messes of other citizens who themselves are breaking the law by littering. More times than not, they are collecting beer or liquor cans/bottles which are likely the result of drinking and driving - yet another law broken.
Why would anyone want to mess up anything as beautiful as this?

What lovely pictures! Thanks for sharing :)

Here's an English question for you: why did you write "prison/jail"? Are there nuances between the two? I thought they're just synonyms.

Oh! This explains why I often thought it weird when a character in a series was arrested for a couple of hours and referred to it as "being in jail', for me, jail, like prison, was a separate place, where one got after being sentenced or charged at least. Thanks for the explanation!
