Marscesence

Beech trees hold some of their leaves throughout winter as if they, like us, resist shedding parts of themselves that no longer serve them.  This process is named "Marcescence". Eventually, in springtime, they ultimately set their leaves free.

Letting go of things is sometimes is the act of loving more. We all should be more like trees.
