Beautiful. What I remember of my trips to the states is how much open uninhabited space there is. It's jaw dropping.

We drove hundreds of miles through practically uninhabited prairie land where we found only one stop for fuel...then sixty miles on empty gravel roads which ended at a lodge with no electricity that is only open six months a year due to snow.
The next day was traveling ten miles on foot with pack horses carrying our gear. The last three miles was crawling up and around on boulders with 25lb backpacks. So yes, there was plenty of uninhabited space. :)

Hah. Definitely. I've been to some of the most remote places in the UK mostly just because I could. They were still nothing like that.
