That odd old guy

For the years I lived in Pittsburgh, the ususal commuting interruptions were ones which I had little means or ways to avoid or control. They typically consisted of traffic accidents, construction slow downs, and the like.

Now living back in the rural area where I grew up, the impediments are usually events such as large branches or entire trees which have fallen across the road.  I'm eager now to grab my chainsaw and clear the debris.  To be able to assume some level of stewardship for my neighbors and our surroundings fires my soul.  Eccentric? A little nutty? Maybe, but there you have it.
