In my father's glove
Nov. 27th, 2021 06:27 pmIn my single digits, I remember laying in bed at night and wondering how I would manage life without my parents. After all, they were older than most of my friend's parents, and in a big way it seemed unfair that I might lose them so early in my life.
I will always have much of what they were inside me even though they are gone. I still hear my mom coughing over her morning cigarette and Nescafe instant coffee and I remember the safety of hearing my dad snoring at 4am. Everything changes.
