Growing up where there isn't much else but us, this is one of my favorite things to do. (Garbage not withstanding.) In recent years on visits Back Home™ I've made a point to sneak off at some point in the late evening during a family gathering and wander off to the top of a big hill where there is no one around and strip down naked and just stand there and stare into the sky. Cold or hot does not matter. Just the memory of being truly alone in nature, where light and sound don't often reach. Standing naked as we came and staring up into the big eternal sky.
