michaelboyIt is hard to reckon that we are powerless to change many of the horrible things that happen to folks. But simply turning away from them, makes even less sense.

And it brings to you, that lives
change, fade and come to bright
in a sense of knowing how lightly
we breathe to enjoy the moment
which runs warm through us all

I wish I knew then what I do now because I still would do what I did then to bring me to now, now though I've been cruel and I've been less but also I've been less than cruel and everything hard has changed me from someone hard to someone who could change me from something less even if I could choose an easy life I wouldn't have known what was easy then.
