Just before sleep

michaelboyA time for visiting the heart of another so far away is in those final moments of waking twilight - just before sleep. It is there, where a self-designed architecture blossoms in Lego building-block fashion and where each piece may follow form and function of capricious dream-swept wishes.

We should strive to be gentler and more understanding - beyond the nourishment of essential human touch. After the words are spoken, after the deeds are done, after any long day of pleasure or dismay -- there are so many things more important than self-interest. It has always been simple to indulge ourselves, especially if there have been obvious or immediate gains but there is so much more to discover, learn and love.
