
One of our hospice patients is nearing the end. She's just so thin that it seems there's noone under her blanket. But there is - just as significant as a you or a me. It makes me sad that there's little or no awareness of the many flowers friends and family have brought for her...

As much as it feels like folks run into this dying thing more than we'd like, it is just as important to remember the balance in the living part. Those I see as young are those who are still willing to tie a flour sack cape around themselves and jump off garages. Change in life doesn't always come easy but it is important, and of course, inevitable.
