There are things you see your whole life that quietly blend into the entire
but without them, you might sense an emptiness, and have no idea why.
In the spring, these sprout up in random small patches in the woods
and are as much a part of my life as the soft ground always was.
While naming them isn’t as important as appreciating their gesture,
I now know they are Bluets and I suddenly see them everywhere

This sentiment is so true. There are things that I don't necessarily miss, per se, about the environs where I grew up, but I know those things in my bones and sinews and sometimes feel a ghostly twinge when I think upon them.

I really just discovered their name recently, and I appreciate having the name as it seems to open up their visibility to me.

But agree that even unnamed things are beautiful and live in our memories.
